Sp3: We’re back on record with the Jefferson County Grand Jury.

JF: You’re getting ready to see a video of the scene and we’re not going to have any discussion or speaking points through — up to the video. I will talk after when we go from apartment 4 to apartment 3. Other than that, I’ll let you kind of see and kind of analyze for youself.

This is the gate {inaudible} — that’s the gate we were talking about earlier and you’ll hear more about that later.

[00:40] — [16:18] Silence

Sp7: {inaudible}

Sp5: Yea.

Sp7: Ah, shit.

[16:23] — [28:08] Silence

JF: Now I’ll give you transition from apartment 4 to apartment 3.

[28:14] — [30:40] Silence

JF: Now are there any questions on the video? Yes, ma’am.

Sp8: So, I’m trying to make sure I get that part. Was no damage done to apartment 8?

JF: There was a round that went up -

Sp8: Yea

JF: That wasn’t recovered. I do not believe.

Sp3: It went out the roof.

JF: Huh?

Sp3: Out the roof.

JF: It went out the roof.

Sp8: It went out the roof. So it went straight through apartment 8 and out the roof?

JF: Yes, ma’am.

Sp8: Just one round too?

JF: I believe there’s just one.

Sp3: There may have been 2.

JF: There may have been -

Sp8: There may have been 2. He shot 2 in the air, right?

JF: You’ll hear testimony later about how that may have happened. How it happened. Who specifically did that. I believe one of the officers mentions doing this.

Yes, sir.

Sp9: Where was the bullet recovered in the soap dish? I didn’t see that.

JF: He didn’t get video of it. He video taped the room, but he didn’t get the actual -

Sp8: Yeah, because he didn’t really do a {inaudible} like that.

Sp9: In this area here?

Sp8: Mhm.

Sp3: Okay, uh -

Sp8: Okay, I have another question.

JF: Yes, ma’am.

Sp8: You say the warrant was issued on {inaudible}, right?

JF: It was signed by the judge in {inaudible}.

Sp8: On {inaudible}. And it was on what? Guns, drugs, and money?

JF: Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and money.

Sp8: But none was found? Just the gun that the man shot when -

JF: That part there is my understanding — that original search warrant once all this happened at the same time — I believe that was stopped and then there was a additional search warrant served. In that case, {inaudible} was found in that search warrant.

Yes, ma’am.

Sp10: The date and of this was what again?

JF: I’m sorry?

Sp10: The date and time of the actual search -

JF: The video was taken the morning of March 13th.

Sp10: The incidents happened March 12th at what time?

JF: The judge signed the warrant March 12th, but by the time they got to this location it was March 13th. They got on scene about 0035 and they began executing the warrant about 0040.

Sp8: So only was with somebody’s name on there? But they couldn’t for {inaudible}?

Sp9: He said the original warrant.

JF: The warrant was for, like I said, Saint Anthony Gardens Apartments, 3003 Springfield Drive, number 4, Louisville, Kentucky. Jefferson County Kentucky and all surrounding {inaudible} and it goes on to describe that location. It describes authority to search any 2017 Dodge Charger SRT and/or on the persons of black male Jamarcus Cordell Glover and his date of birth. Black male Adrian Orlandes Walker, his date of birth. Black female Breonna Taylor and gives her date of birth.

Sp8: So they was looking for operating?

JF: So typically, {inaudible} would specifically if they were looking for these people. They had other — there were other operations going on at the same time since the 20th that had relevance to this.

Sp9: So that was the original.

JF: This was neither — Sir, yes. This was the original search warrant that they were attempting to execute.

Sp8: That was issued on the 12th.

JF: Signed by the judge on the 12th, yes.

Sp3: Detective, if you would clarify. You said Adrian Walker was one of the subjects and that is not Kenneth Walker.

JF: That is not Kenneth Walker. That is a different person. Same last name, but that is a different person.

Sp9: {inaudible}

JF: This is Adrian Orlandes Walkers.

Sp8: Ok, another question that I have. Michael Walker — Glover, was he already arrested at the time?

JF: He had {inaudible} — they made contact with him earlier at a different location.

Sp8: You mean {inaudible} on him on the 13th, not the 12th?

JF: I’m sorry?

Sp8: On the 12th or the 13th?

JF: We haven’t had — I can’t be certain the — I think they contacted him on the 12th.

Sp3: But it was that same night.

JF: Same night. Late in the evening, early in the morning.

Sp8: The 13th?

Sp11: When the judge signed it was late in the day right?

JF: I can’t speak to that. It’s not uncommon for the judge to sign the warrant — and it has to be served in a reasonable amount of time after that. The judge signed the warrant because the information you put in the warrant has to be -

Sp11: Executed within a -

JF: Actually, it’s a lot of information. So if it’s not served in a reasonable amount of time, your information is stale. So I don’t know exactly when they went to the judge. I assume it’s {inaudible}. It’s sometime on the 12th, I would assume. But I don’t have that information on what time they went or anything like that. We’re trying to be focused to the best {inaudible} their was in. There’s other issues related to the warrant that we’re not going to get to go into here, but the officers were executing a valid search warrant. The officers that served this warrant were acting in good faith. That’s the term there. This was a valid warrant that they were going to execute at this location for drugs, drugs paraphernalia, and money. This search warrant authorized them to search apartment 4, the vehicle 2017 Dodge Charger, if that had been on the location and these subjects that were mentioned.

Yes, ma’am.

Sp10: The Nissan that was showed in the video. What was that?

JF: I believe that was driven by -

Sp3: Detective Cosgrove.

JF: Detective Miles Cosgrove.

Sp3: And Detective Fogg, if you look on the last page of that warrant, I think it says what time it was signed.

JF: Yes, on the warrant itself, Ms. {inaudible} pointed out what time it was signed. It was signed by the judge on March the 12th, 2020 on 12:37 pm. So just in the afternoon, earlier that day. Yes, ma’am.

Sp10: And we might get to this later, but did these officers — were they aware that contact had been made with Mr. Glover already before they served this search warrant.

Sp3: They’ll hear that.

JF: Yes, I do believe they were. Yes.

Sp11: There were shell casings between a couple cars. I’m assuming it’s outside of the patio balcony -

JF: The shell casings you saw in that video, in the parking lot — {inaudible} the parking lot and the vehicles in this area.

Sp11: So he was — it actually — Hankison was actually between a couple cars.

JF: Yes, but you’ll hear more information on the rounds fired and Detective Hankison’s statement and from {inaudible} information provided by Detective Wolf. Did you have something Ma’am?

Sp12: No thank you, {inaudible}. Where was the blood from between those two cars? Was that from the guy that was shot in the femoral artery?

JF: Sergeant Maddingly, yes. He was tended to between those 2 vehicles.

Sp12: There wasn’t much blood there for a femoral artery, but I thought.

JF: I’m not a doctor, but there are other photos that — and any {inaudible} — any blood has to be {inaudible}

Sp11: So that blood was from {inaudible}

JF: Yes. Yes, ma’am.

Sp10: I have questions about the gun shots. Will we get to that later? Specifically, those 3 shots in the back wall and the 3 shots on the doorway in the bedroom, were those the 6 shots from Maddingly?

JF: You will hear specific information about who fired where?

Sp12: Was blood or Glover’s name not on that first search warrant because they had already made contact with him earlier that day?

JF: Well, Glover’s name was on that first search warrant.

Sp12: So they didn’t know at that time that they had that signed that he had been contacted earlier in the day?

JF: Well, how this operation went, there were multiple warrants being executed that night. In fact they had too much into the — this address was one of the addresses that they had for Jamarcus Glover. Officers made contact with him earlier in the evening in one of the other locations. The address — this — a search warrant like this, which is not uncommon in a drug search warrant for either search the body of whoever’s there — the persons — well, Mr. Glover was found someplace else. So then the officers would be looking for the premises, the vehicle, Adrian Orlandes Walker and Breonna Taylor.

Sp8: So did they ever find walker?

JF: I can’t speak to that?

Sp10: And did they know that she was there alone, or will we hear more about that later?

JF: You’ll more about that later, from the officers.
